Bina Reddy is an environmental litigator and regulatory counselor in the Austin, Texas office of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. Ms. Reddy has handled cases in federal and state courts arising under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Clean Water Act (CWA), state environmental statutes, as well as common law tort claims. Ms. Reddy has devoted a substantial portion of her practice to litigation under environmental citizen suit provisions, and has successfully defended numerous citizen suits under RCRA. Ms. Reddy also has experience litigating federal and state constitutional claims in connection with challenging local ordinances banning the recycling of biosolids on California farmland. Her recent work includes defense of toxic tort and product liability claims against a large public utility, including securing the denial of class action certification.
Ms. Reddy’s regulatory practice includes advising clients under a range of environmental laws and on multi-jurisdictional product compliance regulatory matters.
Ms. Reddy received her law degree (J.D.) from The University of Texas School of Law, where she served as Notes Editor for the Texas Environmental Law Journal. She received her undergraduate degree (A.B.) from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.
Ms. Reddy is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the State Bar of Texas. She currently serves as Environmental Subcommittee co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Real Estate Litigation and Condemnation Committee, and is a member of Women's Council on Energy & the Environment (WCEE).
